We had a lovely day at the repair café; a date we always look forward to when it appears on our calendar. Such a gorgeous day of repairs, chat and cake. One of the items we restored back to its former glory was this beautiful Mulberry handbag (pictured above).
As we are now in the midst of Autumn, you have may have noticed an increase in the amount of spiders coming into your house; it is definitely spider season as male spiders are on the hunt for a female. Silkworms will be prevalent on your mulberry trees and although we are not all the biggest fans of these eight- legged friends; take a moment to admire their beautiful webs, whose threads are stronger than those of steel threads of the same diameter. Pop out onto your dew -covered lawns early in the morning to admire their intricately crafted masterpieces, twinkly with moisture.
We have recently experienced the Autumn equinox, when both the day and night were of the same length. It was also coupled with a Harvest Moon, when the moon appeared much bigger and brighter in the sky.
If the thought of the longer nights, does not fill you with a warm cosy feeling, plant your daffodils by the end of this month in anticipation of their frilly golden heads appearing in the Spring.
